Tylenol Future Care Scholarship

Short essay~2 hours

Best fit for

HS seniors or current college students committed to healthcare careers with some early exposure (hospital volunteering, shadowing, EMT training, etc.).

What they actually look for

Tylenol funds ~10 awards/year at $5K-$10K each. The bar isn't 'pre-med superstar' — they want kids with a genuine 'I want to help people through healthcare' story plus some practical exposure (volunteer hours, shadowing, EMT, CNA). The essay is the whole thing.

What you'll need

  • Plan to major in a healthcare-related field (pre-med, nursing, public health, pharmacy, PT/OT, healthcare admin, etc.)
  • 1 short essay (~500 words) on your path into healthcare
  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated leadership / service in healthcare-adjacent activities (volunteering at a clinic, hospital, EMT, etc.)

When to start

Application opens January, deadline late June. Apply once you have a confirmed healthcare major.

Watch out for

Doesn't cover pure biology / chemistry research tracks — they want HEALTHCARE-applied paths. If you're planning a research-only career (PhD, not MD), other STEM awards are a better fit.
